Shirley Goss, R.N., Clinic Supervisor of the Bates County Memorial Hospital Family Care Clinics Elected to State Board of Directors

At the annual fall conference of the Missouri Association of Rural Health Clinics October 12-13, Shirley Goss, R.N., Clinic Supervisor of the Bates County Memorial Hospital Family Care Clinics, was elected to the State Board of Directors.

The Missouri Association of Rural Health Clinics is a non-profit corporation founded in 2000 by health professionals committed to providing a forum to exchange information specific to federally-certified Rural Health Clinics.


The purpose of MAHRC is:

· To study, discuss and exchange professional knowledge, expertise, and ideas with regard to federally-certified rural health clinics

· To promote high standards for quality patient care

· To stimulate interest in continuing education for rural health clinic health care providers

· To improve access to quality health care through the establishment of federally certified rural health clinics and through cooperative efforts with other professional health care organizations and individuals

· To promote and maintain communication and cooperative relations with other health care organizations

BCMH congratulates Shirley Goss on receiving this honor. Goss has worked for BCMH since May of 2009.
