Drexel Fire Department completes essential training

A discussion prior to using extrication tools
Last night, the Drexel Fire Department conducted Vehicle Extrication training at the Drexel Fire station.

During the training Firefighters were shown the proper techniques in the use of the Extrication tools being "Jaws of life" cutters and spreaders.

Extrication tools are used to again access (open vehicles) to injured and trapped victim's in motor vehicle accident.

A FINAL LOOK showing various extrication techniques completed- top peeled back and
doors removed allowing first responders access to vicitims
Keeping updated on extrication techniques and training with the tools will insure a quicker extrication time and provide experience for the newer firefighters and ensure that the equipment is in working order.

A special thanks to Adrian Tow for providing the vehicles for our training.
