News from the Bates County Courthouse 11/13/17

It was a long day at the Bates County Courthouse last Thursday, Probation revocation hearings were held with Hugh C. Jenkins representing the State. 

Several persons were sent to the Missouri Department of Corrections to begin serving their original sentences.

The State filed a Motion to Revoke probation on Antonio Hatcher. Hatcher was originally sentenced for possession of a controlled substance but was caught using drugs. The Court, did not revoke Hatchers probation but instead extended Hatcher’s probation for a period of 1 year.

Destiney Long was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after violating the conditions of her probation. Ms. Long was originally given probation for burglary and stealing.

George McKee was remanded to prison to begin serving his original 5-year sentence for drug possession after being caught with a controlled substance.

Chelsea Renne and Codey Henderson were originally charged with fraudulent use of a credit device in June of 2015. Renne was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and Henderson failed to report to his probation officer, and did not attend mandatory substance abuse counseling. Both Henderson and Renne were remanded to a 120-drug treatment program at the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Ramsey Foster violated her probation by possessing a controlled substance and was sentenced to a 120-day drug treatment program at the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Tabitha Terronez was violated her probation by damaging property of others and was sentenced to 2 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Judge Journey gave a 5-year suspended imposition of sentence to Kenneth Collins. Collins pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a weapon
