Marion grew up in Nevada and attended school there. Following high school he attended and graduated from Ft. Scott Baptist Bible Academy in Ft. Scott, KS.
Throughout his life he worked at various restaurants and nursing homes in Nevada. Marion was active in the Myrtle Tree Fellowship Church in Rich Hill, MO. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing Bingo.
Survivors include one daughter, Megan Lynn Carlson, Rich Hill; one brother Lester Nichols and his wife Rosetta, Nevada; several nieces and nephews, including his niece, Francine Riggs of Nevada.
