Mike was born January 26, 1967 in Clinton, MO to Johnny and Vivian (Coe) Everhart.
Mike graduated from Lakeland High School in 1985. After graduation, Mike started pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University. He was employed as a police officer for the city of Clinton and later joined Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
He was awarded Missouri Deputy of the year in 1994. In 1994, started his own security business. In 2007, Mike followed his life-long dream of carrying on the family tradition, by purchasing and relocating Everhart’s Outdoor Store.
Mike was a great business man, dedicated to making Everhart’s a successful, local business for Clinton. He enjoyed working with his customers, the guys at the store, and the vendors on a daily basis.
Mike was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed serving God and running the lights at church for services and special events and most recently serving on the church finance committee.
On February 18, 2011, Mike married Melissa (Green) Everhart. On September 11, 2015, their son, Toby Michael Everhart was born and has blessed them beyond measure.
Another very special person to Mike was his niece, Baby Brett. Uncle Mike and Baby Brett spent lots of time together.
Mike loved being outside. Whether he was running around the property on his Ranger checking trail cameras, filling feeders, planting food plots, or reseeding his lawn, he enjoyed being in what he called “God’s country”. He always kept the lake stocked and loved to go down to the dock to wet a line especially when he could take the nieces and nephews with him and most recently, getting to have Toby tag along with him.
Mike is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harry and Helen Coe, paternal grandparents Cecil and Clara Belle Everhart, and step-father Gary Evans.
Mike is survived by his wife, Melissa, son Toby of the home, his mother Vivian Evans of Deepwater, his father Johnny (Linda) of Clinton, a sister Renee (Brian) Frost of Deepwater, brother Rodney Everhart and sister Elisha Montgomery of Clinton, in laws Jerry (Mary) Green, sister-in-law Crystal (Ralph) Goucher, brother-in-law Ben (Michelle) Green, grandma-in-law Pat Green, nieces Brett Frost, Madison and Allie Goucher, Weslynn Green, nephews Wade and Walker Green and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and collegues.
Mike was greatly loved and will be missed and remembered daily until we are reunited.
