Randy was raised in Moundville and attended Nevada High School graduating with the Class of 1982. He began working at the age of 16 for Vernon County Meat Packers in Nevada.
Randy continued to work there for 29 years until the business closed in the early 2000’s. He was also a farmer who produced hay and raised cattle. Randy loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include three children, Brandon Gash and his wife Jennifer, Odenton. MD, Bradley Gash and his wife Ashley, Nevada, Lacey Gash and her husband Aaron Prather, Nevada; 10 grandchildren, Nicholas Gash, Oliver Gash, Emilia Gash, Melanah Gash, Peyton Gash, Tinley Gash, Loralei Gash, Aden Prather, Auroura Prather, Lillyan Prather; his mother, Minnie Jo Gash, Moundville; one brother, Russ Gash, Nevada; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gash.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
