Theresa Deann Conner, age 65 of Butler, Missouri, passed away on November 1, 2017 at Medicalodge Nursing Home in Butler following a few months of ill health. Theresa, an only child, was born August 22, 1952 in Butler, Missouri to Charles Dean and Ruth Alene Howard Conner.

Theresa attended Peru School, a rural school in Bates County. She further attended and graduated from Butler High School in May, 1970. She continued her higher education, graduating with a degree from Central Missouri State University in 1974. Upon graduation, she was employed by the State of Missouri in Family Services in 1974 and continued that employment until her death as an Eligibility Supervisor. Theresa was a faithful member of the Butler First Christian Church and actively participated and sang in the Church Choir. She often sang solos for church and family member funerals. She credited her Mother with giving her the love of music that she so enjoyed.

Theresa enjoyed exercising by walking three miles a day for a very long time. She often shared time walking with her good friend, Carol Ann Winburn. She further enjoyed time spent with another longtime close friend, Lucille Mundey. She was very fond of her kind and helpful neighbors, Gayla and Brian Boyd. She loved her many pets through the years and most recently adored her little furry friend, a Yorkie she named Finnegan. They were truly her little ones to love.

Theresa valued her employees and co-workers greatly and had a wonderful relationship with them. She enjoyed being able to help many people throughout her employment. She dedicated so very much to caring for her mother, Ruth, and helping with her aunts as they aged. She was always willing to do whatever she could to be of assistance to each of them.

Theresa is survived by her Howard cousins, Regena Rook, Lyle C. Howard, Larry Howard, Esther Hopcroft, Sharon Tucker and Wayne Varns. She is further survived by her Conner cousins, Carol Moody, Mary Butler, Judy Kuehnhoff, Janet Moses, Donna Nielson, and Georgia Jarmen. Also, she is survived by other family members and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Theresa was a very giving and generous person and will be missed by all who knew her.
