Stolen Gun Recovered in Lowry City from Clinton

On Nov. 3, a St. Clair County deputy was contacted by a citizen of Lowry City who was interested in buying a hand gun from an individual. He wanted the serial number of the gun ran to make sure it wasn’t stolen.

After a check of the serial number, it was found that the gun was stolen out of Clinton. 

The deputy contacted the Clinton Police Department, which did have a report on a stolen firearm that matched the one recovered in St. Clair County.

A suspect has been named. The investigation is ongoing.
