From the Nevada Police Department

On the afternoon hours of Monday December 11, 2017 Nevada Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of E. Sycamore Street in response to reports of illegal drug activity at that location.

Officers had recently developed information regarding a known female subject at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity and also had active warrants for her arrest from Vernon County and the Nevada Municipal Court.

During the search of the residence officers located and seized multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine. The evidence seized from the residence will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.

The known female subject, identified as Viola F. Holman, age 37 of Nevada was taken into custody for investigation of possession of a controlled substance (in addition to the active arrest warrants) and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.

A male subject, identified as Matthew G. Plourde, age 49 of Nevada was taken into custody for investigation of possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.

Another male subject, identified as Rex L. Holman, age 40 of Nevada was taken into custody at that location on December 12th following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Vernon County Associate Court.

On Tuesday December 12, 2017 the following charges were filed against all three subjects through the Vernon County Associate Court:

Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony

All three subjects are being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
