Nevada Police Department make arrest after search warrant

In the morning hours of Thursday December 14, 2017 Nevada Police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 800 block of E. Ashland Street in response to reports of illegal drug distribution at that location.


Officers had recently developed information regarding a known female subject at that location that had reportedly been involved in the distribution of suspected methamphetamine.

During the search of the apartment officers located and seized multiple packages of suspected methamphetamine which appeared to have been prepared for distribution as well as additional suspected controlled substances and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia. The evidence seized from the residence will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.

The known female subject, identified as Rebecca D. Stinnett, age of 32 of Nevada was taken into custody for investigation of distribution of a controlled substance and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.
On Thursday December 14, 2017 the following charges were filed against Stinnett through the Vernon County Associate Court:
  • Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Class C Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony
  • Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance - Class E Felony
Stinnett is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash only bond. Citizens are encouraged to contact the police if they have any information that would be helpful to combat crime.
