Allen W. Peter, age 56, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on December 16, 2017, at the Kansas City Hospice House of Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, December 22, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Burial will take place at the Longview Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
Allen was born on February 27, 1961, in Lepanto, Arkansas. He was the son of Arthur Peter, Jr. and Johnnie (Wright) Peter.
Allen was an entrepreneur who founded Big Al’s Liquor and Wine in Belton, Missouri. Those who knew Allen said that he had a special talent and love for barbequing, and he perfected his techniques over the years to become a grill master. His other interests included Harley motorcycles and fishing.
Allen never met a stranger. He always seemed to enjoy everyone, and he took time to make them feel special.
Allen is survived by his parents, Arthur Peter, Jr. and Johnnie Peter; his brother, Charles A. Peter; sister, Karen Saghai and her husband, Ardeshir; 3 nephews, Robert Saghai, Justin Peter, and Michael Kennedy; niece, Tonia Saghai; and four great-nephews, Logan, Blake, Ian, and Ivan; and two step-daughters, Erin and Megan Cory.
