One arrested after motorcycle chase in Bates County

On Wednesday, November 29th, a Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Corey L. Vogeler (DOB 10/7/1987) failed to yield to the Deputy’s emergency lights and siren.

Vogeler later wrecked on I-49 near mile marker 135. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and then later taken to the Bates County Jail for processing.

Vogeler had an outstanding warrant out of Johnson County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The bond amount was $25000.00 cash only.

The motorcycle Vogeler was driving was confirmed to be stolen out of Warrensburg, MO. More charges are expected to be filed against Vogeler.
