The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Mazda Protege driven by 18 year old Mary I. Webb of Walker, Missouri swerved to miss a deer and ran off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole. After impact the vehicle rotated clockwise and came to rest facing a fence.
Mary I. Webb along with a passenger in her vehicle 15 year old Judy L. Webb both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by private vehicle to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by the owner.
