The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Dodge driven by 46 year old Julie Mallory of Amsterdam, Missouri struck a cow in the roadway.
A passenger in the vehicle 9 year old Roshelle M. Mallory of Amsterdam, Missouri sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Adrian Tire.
