Judy Maxine Vaughn, 71, Nevada, MO passed away on January 1, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS. Judy was born October 5, 1946 in St. Joseph, MO to Max and Patricia Coleen (Richardson) Shipman. On October 28, 1966 she was united in marriage to John Vaughn in Miami, OK and he survives of the home.

Judy was raised St. Joseph. She graduated from Basehor Kansas High School Class of 1964. Following high school she attended college and became a nursing assistant. In 2006 she and John came to Nevada and have continued to reside here since that time. Judy was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by two sons, Richard Vaughn and his wife Jenny, Schell City, MO, Timothy Vaughn and his wife Tina, Tulsa, OK; one brother, Gary Shipman, Schell City; one sister, Pamela Carpenter, Statesville, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Greg Ferree officiating. A private committal will follow. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
