Obituary - Robert Elmer Todd

Robert Elmer Todd, age 91 of Deepwater passed away December 27, 2017 at his home in Deepwater.  Memorial services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Chapel, Clinton,  Missouri.  Inurnment will be in the Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton.  Family suggests memorial contributions be made to C.A.R.E.(Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor) and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Condolences and fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.  

Robert was born in 1926 the son of Arthur R. and Seva (Johnson) Todd in Lexington, Missouri.  He was raised in northeast Kansas City.  He raced stock cars from 48-68 winning many trophies.  He worked at Auto Salvage near 17th and Manchester in Kansas City in the 50's.  He owned and operated Mid City Auto Parts in Independence, MO.  He was a member of the American Legion as well as Car Clubs.  He served in the Army during the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary Alice (Rhodes) in 2013; and his son Robert in July, 2017.

Robert is survived by his son, Michael Arthur Todd, of Grain Valley; daughters, Ramona Feugate of Lampe, Mo., Patricia Annette Shockey of Appleton City, MO., and Christina Kay Rowland of Warsaw, MO.; a brother, Carl David Todd of Pleasant Hill, MO.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
