He married Mary Katherine "Kackie" Gilner on August 19, 1963 at Greeley, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ron is survived by his wife, Kackie, three sons: Rodney Honn and Christine, Keith Honn and Denise, and Tim Honn and Dixie, a daughter, Pam Schuetz and Mark, two brothers, Martin and Gary Honn, two sisters, Betty Straian and Shirley Ross and twelve grandchildren: Samantha Honn Dodds and husband Andy, Kaylla Honn, Rebecca Honn, Melissa Honn, Jesse Honn, Justin Honn, Bailey Honn, Jaclyn Honn, Tanner Schuetz, Tori Honn, Spencer Schuetz, and Grayson Schuetz.
