The incident happened last Sunday, January 21. Someone reported the eagle was struck by a vehicle around 12:45 p.m. on the highway near Nevius Lane. That is south of Missouri 7. Conservation agents say the caller reported two vehicles near the eagle, a red Dodge truck and a blue minivan.
It turns out the people moved the eagle because it died after it was struck by the car. They informed agents about where they relocated the bird after hearing the news report.
Agents say no charges will be filed in this case.
