Woman sentenced in Henry County for fatality accident

A woman was sentenced Thursday in Henry Co. concerning a fatality traffic accident in 2015.

In Nov. of 2015, the Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 7, just east of Route AA.
One of the vehicles was driven by 27 year old Caitlin Taillon of Kansas City. The other vehicle was driven by 57 year old Christopher Landsberg of Clinton. Landsberg was killed in the accident.

Taillon was eventually charged with involuntary manslaughter, possession of a controlled substance, assault in the second degree, poss. of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Taillon pled guilty in Nov. of last year.

According to Henry Co. Prosecutor Richard Shields, Taillon was sentenced to a term of eight years for manslaughter and seven years on the other felony charges.

All of those are to run concurrent with one another. The State had argued for a sentence of at least 10 years and the defense argued for probation.
