The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2004 Hyundai driven by 33 year old Matthew J. Owens of Kansas City, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a tree.
Matthew J. Owens sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Stevers Tow.
