James Ray “Jim” Hough, 71, was born October 16, 1946 in Butler, Missouri the oldest of six children born to Lewis Ray “Sammy” and Thelma (Garrison) Hough. He departed this life unexpectedly, January 31, 2018 at his home, on the family farm south of Appleton City, while enjoying the company of his son. Jim loved his cattle, trucking, and fishing with his grandchildren.
In 1966 - 1968 Jim served his country in the U.S. Army, spending eleven months in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, Jim returned home where he made his living farming and trucking, as well as driving for UPS for nine years.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Thelma Hough. Survivors include: his children Angie and husband Tomas Pagan of Pooler, Georgia, Brandon Hough and wife Tina of Roscoe, Missouri, Brittanni and husband Ryan Turner of Appleton City, Missouri, James Hough of the home; seven grandchildren: Erica Williams, Chance Williams and wife Lysette, Jaden Pagan, Hailey Hough, Brandy Hough, Alexis Turner and Kade Turner; one great-granddaughter Valeria Williams; his siblings: Dave Hough and wife Cindy, Lois and husband Wayne Schenker, Bob Hough and wife Beth, Bill Hough and wife Anita, Lucile Hough and Donald, many nieces nephews, cousins as well as numerous good friends. He will be missed by all.
