Joe was born at the old Wetzel Hospital on December 14, 1968 to Michael and Judith (King) Moritz.
He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He had his first job at the grain elevator in Eldorado Springs when he was 10 years old. While in high school he worked at United Super grocery store and then El Sambre Restaurant. He was a valued employee at El Sambre for over 18 years starting as a bus boy then their first male waiter, then cook and then as kitchen manager. He was later employed at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Harrisonville.
Joe loved hunting, fishing, float trips, watching movies and driving the country roads of Henry County listening to talk radio. He was a willing hunter at flea markets and antique malls. He was a kind hearted man and a loyal employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael Moritz and Judith King and a special aunt Phyllis King.
He is survived by his sister Debbie Weber and her husband Mike and sister Michelle Anderson all of Clinton. Also surviving are nephew Chris Weber and wife Robyn and their children Ariana, Chloe and Keira of Blue Springs; niece Angie Urquilla-Aguirre and husband Christian and their children Mario, Hannah and Ben of Raymore; Payton Preston, Cameron Aguirre; nieces Tanna Parratt and Gracie Anderson and nephew Mason Anderson all of Clinton; aunts Beverly King and Mary Green of Clinton and special friends Dennis and Debbie Sieger of Clinton.
There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home following cremation.
