The Vernon County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest Friday evening in south of Nevada.
The victim was transported to Freeman Hospital in Joplin and he has been listed in stable condition.
One suspect is in custody. More information is expected to be released on Sunday.
