Upon arrival officers identified the subject as Brandon S. Keith, 34, of El Dorado Springs. He was unresponsive with injuries to his head. Officers requested an ambulance.
Mr. Keith was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for treatment of a gunshot wound to his head. Keith succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation continued with the assisted of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Division of Fire Safety, and the Cedar and Vernon County Sheriff's Offices.
The investigation resulted in a Cedar County Warrant charging Charles Shane Green, 40, of El Dorado Springs with First Degree Murder a Class A Felony with no bond, issued on March 26, 2018.
