Hume Community News 3/13/18

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Joe Clark of Nevada, formerly of Hume. When Joe lived in Hume he was very active in the Methodist Church and never missed a Lord’s Acre Day. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

We also extend our sympathy the family of Walt Jacks of the Metz area. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with both of these families.

Dixie Haler, Karen Irwin, Natalie Buesing and Amanda Buesing enjoyed supper Friday evening at Sister’s & Friends. They were later joined by Abigail Metcalf and Kenneth Pippin.

A big shout out to the County-Line 4-H in Hume, they did an awesome job sprucing up several areas in town last Saturday.

Easton Wooldridge enjoyed having his cousin, Ryland Austin stay all night with him on Friday nigh at his home in Nevada. Then on Saturday evening they topped it off with a big birthday party to celebrate Easton’s 5th birthday. A host of family and friends came to celebrate with hot dogs, cake and ice cream and of course lots of presents. The party was hosted by his parents Ryan and Cathie Irwin Wooldridge.

Hume United Methodist Church News: Easter Breakfast will be at 8:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 1 with Church services to follow at 9:00 a.m. There will be no 10:30 a.m. service. The Men are to be at the Church by 6:30 a.m. to begin preparing breakfast. All are welcome to attend.

They Hume Alliance Ministry are planning a Spaghetti Feed for a fundraiser for the Hume Food Pantry. The tentative date will be April 22 at the Hume Legion Hall.
