Hume Community News 3/27/18

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Kay Nisely who passed away on March 25. She will greatly be missed by family and friends.

The community of Hume also wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Shayne Hutchinson formally of Hume. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his children and the rest of his family. His sons Caleb Hutchinson and D.J. Maynard attend Hume School.

Visitors in the home of Dixie Haler this past Saturday were her Nephew, Kenneth New and family of Sedalia. On Sunday Mark Hawks stopped by for a visit. Dixie enjoyed visiting with all of them.

Don’t forget the Annual Easter Egg Hunt by the Hume PTO this Saturday, March 31. At 9:00 a.m. you have enjoy Pancakes, sausage and drinks with the Easter Bunny. There will be a free will donation. That morning there will be a 50/50 raffle along with pictures with the Easter Bunny. Then at 11:00 a.m. there will be the Easter Egg Hunt. Lots of fun packed into Saturday morning – don’t miss it.

The O5O Club will meet on Monday April 9 for their noon carry-in dinner at the Hume Community Center. It is always a great time of delicious food, fun and fellowship with friends and neighbors.

Several enjoyed the production of the dinner Theatre “My Fair Limey” this past weekend. The play was hilarious and quite entertaining and the food was delicious.

The Hume United Methodist Church will have Easter Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 1 with the men arriving at 6:30 a.m. to prepare it. Easter Church Services will be at 9:00 a.m. There will be no 10:30 a.m. services on Easter that day. Regular services will resume the following Sunday.
