Margie Lucille Carpenter, 68, of Milo, MO passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO following a lengthy illness. She was born on December 22, 1949 in Fairbanks, AK to Gene and Ruby (Wright) Williams. She married Bradley Eugene Carpenter on August 11, 1972 in Milo and he survives of the home.
Margie was a life-long resident of Vernon County and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1969. She loved fishing and taking rides in the country with Brad. She liked to hunt for mushrooms, watching wildlife and taking care of her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband Brad; five brothers, Douglas Williams and his wife Jan, Moselle, MS, Danny Williams and his wife Blanche, Nevada, Ed Williams, Nevada, Kevin Williams, Milo, Ron Williams, Sheldon, and sister Donna Conway and her husband Charlie, El Dorado Springs, MO; her mother Ruby Craft, Milo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Gene Williams, step-father Nelson Craft, sister Ruby Elaine Mitts, brother Michael Williams, nephew Anthony Barnes and great-great nephew Teagen Baldwin..
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Milo Baptist Church, Milo, with Bro. Jim Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Milo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, March 2, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
