Obituary - Robert P. Glynn

Robert P. Glynn, 90, Walker, Mo passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Bob was born December 31, 1927 at the family home in rural Malvern Iowa, second son of Paul and May Glynn.

Bob attended Spring Valley country school thru the 8th grade. Then completed his high school education @ Tabor High School, graduating with the class off 1946.

On October 5, 1946, Bob married the love of his life Marjorie Hofmockel at the Christian church in Elliott Iowa. Bob was baptized on May 4, 1954 at the Christian Church in Tabor Iowa.

Bob and Marjorie raised their four children on their farm in Mills County Iowa. They lived and worked on that farm row cropping and raising cattle and hogs until 1975 when they purchased a ranch at Edwards Missouri. In 1986 they moved to a farm near Taborville, Missouri before settling on their home north of Walker Missouri in 1994.

Bob was a man who took great pride in his family - frequently heard to say "there's not a bad on in the bunch."

In 1986 Bob and Marjorie traveled to England to visit the White Park cattle herds, that sparked Bob's passion for breeding White Park cattle which he continued to do until his death.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother John; and wife Marjorie.

He is survived by his four children - Kathy (Bob) Seipold, Council Bluffs Iowa; Vicki ((Denny)Schroeder, Malvern Iowa; Mike (Kay) Glynn, Hastings Iowa; Lora (Mike) O'Donnell Edwards Missouri. Grandchildren - Tara Seipold, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Renae Seipold, Omaha, Nebraska; Ryan (Carrie) Schroeder, Omaha Nebraska; Amy (Nik) Sharp Farmington, Minnesota; Beth (James) Shepard, Council Bluffs, Iowa; John (Kelsie) Glynn, Muscatine, Iowa; Sarah (Tyler) Fonseca, Fort Drum, New York; Travis (Alyson) Glynn, Muscatine, Iowa; Michael (Melissa) O'Donnell, O"Fallon, Missouri; Bridgett (Jason) Glover, Columbia, Illinois; 20 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Dick (Pat) Hofmockel; nieces.


Private memorial service will be held at a later date in Iowa.
