Update: Archie man arrested after police chase in Cass County

On Friday March 30, 2018 at approximately 8:00 am the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol pursued a vehicle stolen from Belton, MO.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle in the Dayton area, east of Archie when the suspect fled in the vehicle.

The suspect lead deputies from the Dayton area to the SE Outer Road north of Archie and continued north to East 283rd. The suspect then drove off the roadway at which time the vehicle became stuck in a ditch. The driver was taken into custody.

The driver, Michel S. Moorhead, 38 of Archie was arrested on a Bates County warrant for Felony Possession of Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia, bond $12,500 cash or surety.
 
Moorhead is currently in custody at the Cass County Jail.
