Activity Report for the period March 20-30, 2018:
·5 Nursing Home/Hospice type deaths were reported for the period. All cases were reviewed with none requiring further investigation.
·On March 22, 2018 the Coroner responded to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office request for a jurisdictional transfer regarding a late death from a previous incident originating in Bates County. The case remains under investigation at this time.
·On March 25, 2018 the Coroner responded to a residence just outside Butler. Kay F. Nisely was pronounced by Coroner Greg Mullinax, with death attributable to natural causes.
·On March 26, 2018 the Coroner responded to a residence on West Mill street in Butler regarding a person found deceased. The case remains under investigation at this time.
On March 29, 2018 the Coroner responded to a residence on Northwest County Road 3 near Butler. Michael J. Coffman was pronounced by Coroner Greg Mullinax with death due to natural causes.
