From the Cass County Sheriff's Office

On Friday, April 27, 2018 around 3:45 p.m. a deputy with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a Ford truck in the area of E. 227th and S. Camp Branch Road near Harrisonville. The vehicle, occupied by two males, fled from the deputy. Deputies chased the vehicle into neighboring Johnson and Henry County before the vehicle drove into a farm field in the area of NW 1200 Rd and NW 1271 Rd near Blairstown, MO and fled on foot.

One subject was taken into custody immediately. Numerous law enforcement officers began a search for the second subject. K9 officers from Cass and Henry County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office searched the area and nearby houses for the second subject. The subject described as a white male, 30’s, 5’10”, 150 lbs, was not located. The subject taken into custody has not been charged at this time.


The owner of the vehicle reported it stolen on April 24, 2018 from the Harrisonville Applebee’s.
