Throughout his life Johnathon enjoyed all outdoor activities, such as fishing, exploring, and hunting, especially mule deer. He further loved kayaking and going on float trips with his friends across southern Missouri. Johnathon was known as something of a risk taker, he lived for the adrenaline rush, and took great pleasure in mixed martial arts, even holding a title belt from a competition in El Dorado Springs. Apart from this, his family fondly remembers his enormous heart and his warm smile. He loved and cared for everyone around him.
Johnathon met the love of his life, Kali Phillips, in junior high school in Appleton City, and after a long relationship, he proposed to her in December 2017, and they are expecting a daughter in May. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Johnathon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Carma DeLozier; his maternal grandfather, Dennis Bain; and an uncle, Dennis Berl Bain.
Survivors include his fiancée, Kali Phillips; unborn daughter, Adlee Johnathon Porter; his parents, Keith and Lindy Porter; his siblings: Seth Porter, Kelshea Porter, Brandon Porter, Sarie Porter and Jaxon Porter; his maternal grandmother, Sandra Bain; and two nieces and nephew, Sophie Porter, Mya Grandstaff and Kyler Grandstaff.
Funeral services are pending at this time from the Hill and Sons Funeral Home in Appleton City.
