The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2015 Kenworth driven by 23 year old Travis Whitehead of Bellevue, Nebraska failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The truck struck several highway signs and a culvert before overturning and striking a tree.
A passenger in the semi truck 69 year old Larry C. Hibbs of Urbana, Missouri sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri for treatment.
The semi was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by J's Southland Tow.
