An early morning house fire in Adrian resulted in a total loss of what is thought to be one of the oldest houses in Adrian. At 12:23 this morning the Adrian Fire Department was dispatched on a reported "fully engulfed" structure fire at 101 west 1st street. Fire units arrived at 12:28 and started protecting neighboring houses as well as trying to gain control of the original involved structure. Butler Fire responded automatic mutual aid with a ladder truck and crew. At 02:18 all fire units were cleared from the scene. We were assisted by: Butler Fire, Adrian Police, Bates County Sheriff Department, Highway Patrol, and Bates County Dispatch. There were no injuries.
