On 4/1/18 around 4:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Missouri 52 East Highway around 1 mile east of Route BB in rural Bates County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2005 Buick Lacrosse driven by 48 year old Nancy J. Bettels of Springfield, Missouri lost control on a ice covered roadway, traveled off the southside of the roadway and overturned multiple times down a embankment.
Nancy J. Bettels along with two other passengers in her vehicle 15 year old Macey J. Rabourn and 16 year old Thonan D. Rabourn all of Springfield, Missouri sustained minor injuries in this accident and all three were transported by ambulance to Ellet Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri for treatment. The vehicle was totaled and left roadside to be towed at a later time.
