On 4/23/18 around 6:15 the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County responded to a one vehicle accident on Northbound I-49 at mile marker 134.4 north of Butler.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Chevrolet driven by 33 year old Sara R. Smith of Carthage, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway wand struck a guardrail.
Sara R. Smith along with a passenger in her vehicle 41 year old Robert D. Gentry of Butler, Missouri both sustained injuries in this accident.
Mr. Gentry received medical treatment at the scene of the accident and Sara R. Smith was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment.
The vehicle received extensive damages and it was towed from the scene by Douty's Tow of Butler, Missouri.
