Update: 40-50 head of cattle dead after Cass County Crash

On April 27th at approximately 04:15am, Harrisonville Police and Emergency Services were dispatched to NB I-49 at mile marker 159 for a motor vehicle accident involving a cattle truck. 

When officers arrived they contacted two injured parties, one male and one female. Both subjects were transported to Research Main with minor injuries. 

The truck contained approximately 80-100 head of cattle of which approximately 40-50 are deceased. At this time, the cause of the accident in under investigation. 

Assisting on scene are the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The road is open at this time.
