Police chase ends in Barton County

On 4-18-2018 The Barton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office stating that they had a vehicle pursuit heading towards our county. The chase of the vehicle stopped in a wooded area north of Liberal.

The vehicle had left the road way and drove into the trees where the driver exited the vehicle and was on foot. Deputy Kirby and Lamar Officer Toby Luce with his K-9 Hondo assisted Crawford County just west of the intersection of NW 120th lane and NW 60th road.

When Lamar City Officer Toby Luce and K-9 Hondo arrived on scene they immediately went to tracking the suspect from the vehicle.

Dylan Freeze, age 24, of Liberal was located lying in the brush near a pond. Freeze was taken into custody and was transported to the Barton County Jail.
