Some of you may be wondering why we are putting this on........

On May 31st, 2017, 17 year old Wyatt Deel was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), an inoperable and incurable brain stem tumor. Five days after diagnosis, Wyatt was admitted to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He spent most of his summer there. He took radiation every day for 6 weeks. Wyatt was a very sick young man, but he has been an inspiring young man with an amazing attitude since his diagnosis. Wyatt came back home and started his senior year, only missing school if he had doctor appointments. He was cleared to be able to play basketball. He started every game, was voted MVP, earned All Conference and All District and scored his 1000 point in January. Wyatt did this while taking chemo every night making him very sick most evenings. In May 2018, Wyatt graduated high school. His tumor has started to grow again. At this time, Wyatt does not qualify for any trials in the US, however there is a treatment in Mexico that Wyatt has been accepted into. It is $20,000 a treatment and they expect 10 treatments. Currently there are 50 other children going to Mexico for treatment and having great success.
