Arrest made after Wednesday evening pursuit into Barton County

Warrants have been issued for a Nevada resident who was taken into custody early Thursday morning. The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Daniel J Graham Jr, who was wanted on a no-bond Probation & Parole warrant. 

Graham has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest following a vehicle pursuit that took place Wednesday evening. 

According to official’s, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop south of Nevada when the vehicle failed to yield. Multiple deputies responded and pursued the vehicle into Barton County where the vehicle was stopped with tire deflation devices by the Barton County Sheriff’s Office. Graham then fled on foot into a corn field where deputies were unable to locate him.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said they received information from Barton County and area citizens leading them to the location of Graham Thursday morning. Graham was arrested in Nevada with the assistance of Nevada Police. Graham is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail.
