Body of Deceased Male Identified in Harrisonville

Cass Co – On Tuesday June 19, 2018 deputies responded to a field in the 23500 block of S. Airport Rd Harrisonville after a subject reported finding a body in a field. Deputies arrived and located the body of a male that was deceased.

The victim identified as Robert Kayson Stewart, 25, Raytown. An autopsy conducted at the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday June 20 confirmed the victim’s identification. A cause of death has not been determined at this time. Investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology test.

Detectives continue to investigate Mr. Stewart’s movements and activities leading up to his time of death. Detectives believe that he had recently been living in the Harrisonville area.

There are currently no indications at this time of any foul play. A final determination on cause of death may take several weeks.
