Groundbreaking Held at
Poplar Heights Farm
A Ground Breaking Celebration was held at Poplar Heights Living History Farm. We have received a Recreational Trails Grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The grant will extend our Prairie Trails system to a new trail running along Willow Branch, complete with a 30 foot long bridge for light motorized vehicles. This will allow extended handicap access to the trails. Also included in the grant was the construction of restroom facilities at Poplar Heights.
The Willow Branch Trails and Amenities project is expected to take two years and will be completed in the fall of 2019. The Ground Breaking Celebration was followed by tours of Poplar Heights and lunch.
