If you attending any outdoor events, or have any activities planned for tonight, please make sure you have a sturdy shelter to take cover if needed and a reliable way to receive weather alerts.
Strong to severe storms are possible tonight, with greatest severe potential across eastern Kansas and western Missouri. The primary hazard will be hail up to an inch and damaging winds of 60-70 mph with the strongest storms. Overall severe threat will decrease as the storms work their way east tonight.
Keep in mind that there is some uncertainty as to how the evening may unfold, but current thinking has a line of storms moving into northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas between 8-11 pm and working their way east with time.
