Two arrested after fleeing from police on foot

The Butler Police Department responded to a residence at 617 W. Harrison Street in regards to a verbal argument between two male subjects.

When officers arrived on scene the residents stated that Derrick Shobe and Noah Newsom both of Butler, Missouri had assaulted them and left before the officers arrived.

Officers responded to a residence at 902 North Water Street in a attempt to make contact with the two men. When officers knocked on the door both male subjects fled out of the home on foot.

A short time later the two subjects were later taken into custody and released. 


Mr. Shobe was charged with 1.) Minor In Possession and Mr. Newsom was charged with 1.) Minor In Possession 2.) Driving While Intoxicated 3.) Driving While Suspended. Other charges on the two men are pending at this time.
