The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occured when the 2005 GMC 2500 driven 25 year old Brandon W. Wood of Osceola, Missouri left the roadway and struck several trees.
Mr. Wood along with a passenger in his vehicle 24 year old Samantha L. Carroll of Osceola, Missouri both sustained serious injuries in this accident. Mr. Wood was transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar for treatment.
Samantha L. Carroll was transported by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and left at the scene of the accident to be towed at a later time.
