Fatality hit and run accident in rural Drexel

On 7/22/18 around 9:08pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with the Drexel Police Department responded to a hit and run fatality accident on Route D just south of Route OO in rural Drexel.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when 15 year old Gavin J. Kush of Drexel, Missouri was walking in the northbound lane of Route D when he was struck by a maroon Hyundai that fled the scene of the accident.

Mr. Kush was pronounced dead at Cass Regional Medical Center around 10:45pm last night.

MSHP Troopers are still searching for the Hyundai involved in the incident. They say it is missing a right side mirror and has a headlight out.
