Harrisonville Police Department is now hiring

Harrisonville Police Dept. wants individuals who are ready to help the community by joining our 25 police professionals as fulltime patrol officers. Applicants must have Missouri POST certification, be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s license. 

Applicants will be checked on their readiness through a required written examination, CVSA, extensive background investigation, oral review board, post offer employment physical test, eye exam, and pre-employment drug screen. There is NO residency requirement for police officers. 

We offer a competitive pay range as well as benefits that include:  Paid medical insurance  Life insurance  Defined benefit retirement (LAGERS)  Sick leave  84 hours paid vacation upon completion of 1 year of service  Uniforms and equipment provided by the city Patrol officers work 12-hour shifts with 11 paid holidays per year. Creative scheduling with annual leave allows you to work less than half the days of the year to include every other three-day weekend.
