Paul was raised in New Mexico and began work at the age of 8. He broke stallions for a living as well as herding sheep and cattle. Paul served in the U. S. Army as a Private First Class from 1944-1946 and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. After the service he returned to being a cowboy in New Mexico on a large ranch. He has lived in Nevada for the past 30 years.
Survivors include his wife A. J. of the home; one son, Ray Fuentes, NM; three daughters, Elsie Fuentes, Judy Munoz and Susie Misques all of NM; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Widner, NM; nieces and nephew, Rebecca Truillo, Linda Arrey, Faris Hickox all of NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Norma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment with Military Rites will follow in National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, KS. Friends may call from now and until the hour of service at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
