Unusual cloud deemed not harmful according to police

A foul smelling cloud that appeared over 69 highway a short time ago has been deemed not harmful by authorities. Several travelers on 69 highway north of the power plant reported driving through a low hanging, foul smelling cloud that appeared to be stationary over the road.

According to the Linn Valley police department, the cloud was an emission from a nearby rock quarry, citing that wind and certain  meteorogical conditions made its appearance to be threatening.

It has also been determined that official vehicles in the Amsterdam area are there in an unrelated capacity.

Editors note- it is never our goal to cause an unnecessary panic; however many types of dangerous chemicals travel our roadways every day. In the event of something unusual like this, “better safe than sorry” might be the best policy.
