The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2015 Kia Optima driven by 54 year old Mark E. Mancuso of Butler, Missouri crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck the 2002 Pontiac Montana van driven by 48 year old John R. Parker of Wheatland, Missouri head on.
Mr. Mancuso sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
Mr. Parker sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Bray's Towing and C&H Towing.
